Tariff

All tours must be booked through a licensed Bhutanese Tour Operator. The Royal Government/Tourism Council of Bhutan sets daily tourist tariffs which are valid for all-inclusive packages.

The minimum daily package applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan for tourists traveling is as follows:

  • US $ 250 per person per night for the month of March, April, May, September, October, November – Peak Season
  • US $ 200 per person per night for the month of January, February, June, July, August, December – Regular Season
  • US $ 40 Bhutan Visa fee per person (per one time visit)

Government FIT Surcharge in addition to the tour rates given above:

  • Single Individual: US $ 40 per night per person (Peak & Regular Season)
  • Group of 2 people: US $ 30 per night per person (Peak & Regular Season)
  • Group of three people and more: FIT Surcharge is waived (Peak & Regular Season)

The surcharge will not be applicable to representatives of foreign travel agents on business study or promotional visit, duly approved and cleared by TCB.

The minimum daily package covers the following services:

  • A minimum of 3-star accommodation hotel
  • All meals at the government approved standard hotels or local restaurants
  • A licensed Bhutanese tour guide for the extent of your stay
  • All internal transport/transfers within Bhutan for the duration of the tour including hotel and airport transfers.
  • Sightseeing, entrances fees to museums & monuments, all permits
  • All internal taxes and charge
  • A sustainable tourism Royalty of $65. This Royalty goes towards free education, free healthcare and poverty alleviation, along with the building of infrastructure.
  • Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours

The minimum daily package DOES NOT cover the following services:

  • 4 and 5-Star accommodation and meals
  • All personal expenses such as mini bar, alcoholic beverages, other select beverages, laundry, telephone and tips
  • Medical / Travel Insurance
  • Chargeable outsourced activities, as example blessings, rafting, spa, etc.
  • International / Domestic airfare

DELAYED ARRIVALS

 There is no airfare surcharge on Bhutan Airlines or Druk Airlines for delays in arrival and departure because of weather conditions disrupting flights in or out of the Kingdom or roadblocks within the Kingdom. The traveler must, however, bear the cost of food, accommodation, transportation and other services required.

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance prior to travel.

Tour Cancellation Policy

The tours booked and subsequently canceled will be subject to cancelation charges as follows:

  • 50 days or more before the arrival date in Bhutan – No charges
  • 21 days before the arrival date in Bhutan – 10% of the rate.
  • 14 days before the arrival date in Bhutan – 15% of the rate.
  • 07 days before the arrival date in Bhutan – 30 % of the rate.
  • 04 days before the arrival date in Bhutan – 50 % of the rate.
  • Less than 03 days or without notice – 100% of the rate.
  • After arrival in Bhutan – 100%.
  • An administration fee of USD 50/- will be applicable for all canceled tours, once the Visa has been issued.

Further, please note that for any refunds, bank transfer charges will be deducted from the total refund.

Wire Transfer

Prior to your trip to Bhutan, you will be asked to wire the full payment for your holiday to the Tourism Council of Bhutan.

You must wire the tour payment calculated by Bhutan in Style as well as USD 40 (one-time visa fee) to the Bhutan National Bank through one of their certified intermediary banks, with the Bhutan in Style specified as the ultimate beneficiary.

Bhutan in Style will require a copy of the bank wire transfer receipt in order to process your visa

Tour Payment

As per standing regulation of Tourism Council of Bhutan (Royal Government of Bhutan), all tour payments must be settled prior to the commencement of the tour. Visa applications are only process and endorsed upon the credit of your tour payment in Tourism Council of Bhutan bank account.
