Bhutan Visa Information

To apply for Bhutan Visa the following criteria should be fulfilled by each individual visiting Bhutan:

  • Every visitor to Bhutan requires a tourist visa. Except for Maldives, Indian and Bangladesh passports holders.
  • All other tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior to the travel to Bhutan. At your point of entry, you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport.
  • Visas are only issued to tourists who have booked a tour packages with a Bhutanese tour operator, directly or through a foreign travel agent.
  • The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account.

Bhutan in Style will process your visa online. The following items are required for the processing of your visa:

A legible scanned photo-page copy or digital photo of your passport

Indian, Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can obtain a permit at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity. Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC)

For Your Information:

* Once the payment is received, the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours.

* Passport validity: Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months at the time of entry into the Kingdom.

* Bhutan in Style will process route permits once you enter Bhutan. Route permits are not required for the Paro Valley area.

* Should you choose to arrange your own Bhutan Airlines or Druk Airlines flights, we will require a clear copy of your ticket
